Nearly guarding the glade!

Good evening non readers and an even better evening to the readers of this blog! It's been a busy week or so since I last posted due to a big political event here. Needless to say I have been working away on my glad guard and referendums exponentially increase my productivity. Namely due to the fact I've locked myself away and am ignoring all of the slander and politics in the aftermath.

Anyway, on to happier things and I hope to have Base coated the command this week and perhaps even completed one of the glad guard. I am torn a little with enjoying the look of the Base layers and wanting to avoid messing it up by doing too much to them. See previous posts and please feel free to give advice.

I have ordered some glade guard to paint in a similar scheme and have a spellweaver to paint now too. I must admit that I love the autumnal theme and hope that I can produce mediocre (which I am terribly happy with) results with the other models too.

My thoughts for the army have strayed somewhat from a previous post and expect I will purchase some wardancers and dryads next, the dryads to give me a little break from the elven form. My imperial guard burnout is only just wearing off. Good thing too since I have a valkyrie, taurox, russ and baneblade to paint as well as heavy weapon teams and scions.

I have to say that painting wood elves has helped my enthusiasm for painting the guard now, I can see me bouncing between the two to maintain my enjoyment. I will try to keep these pages as free as possible from 40k unless requested otherwise.

In final news I acquired the wood elf magic cards as well as some nice terrain as seen in the pictures. It won't be long till my first outing with the wood elf host. I would buy the rules but am loath to with rumours of 9th and games workshops current release schedule.

Anyway, a bit of a boring wall of words but perhaps I'll do a wee bit on the glade guard kit and perhaps even be lucky enough to score a small game when I have the next two units.
